1. Appreciate My Quirkiness, My Uniqueness, My Eccentricities. I Am The Original Little Bundle Of Contradictions. And I Will Never Be Fully Explained.

2. Play With Me. Dress Up. Disney Princess Tea Parties, Woodland Faerie Frolics And Oceanside Picnics, Make~Believe And Let's Pretend, Ghost~Hunting, Pre~Raphaelite Photo~Shoots, Midnight Masquerade Balls. Attend A Renaissance Fayre Or Festival With Me. Glamourbomb With Me. Be Giddy, Fae And Silly, Run Around Talking In Accents And A Million Other Zany, Imaginiative Games.

LET'S KILL BANALITY! DOWN WITH THE MUNDANE!

3. Compliment Me. I'm A Sucker For Compliments. {And If We're Honest, Who Isn't?} If You Like My Hair, My Eyes, My Skin, My Smile, My Voice, My Faeness, My Petiteness, My Personality, My Outlook On Life, My Interests, My Writing, If My Relationship With My Husband Inspires You.......Anything At All.......Keep Telling Me! It's Great For My Self~Esteem! I Love Giving Compliments Too. It's Wonderful To Boost Someone's Self~Esteem And Make Them Feel Great About Themselves. It Takes Such A Small Moment Out Of Your Day To Say Something Nice To Someone Else That Just Might Make Their Entire Day, And The Added Bonus Is That When You Do That, You Get To Feel Good About Yourself Too! :o)

4. Create Something For Me. Write Me A Poem Or A Song. Draw Me, Paint Me, Sketch Me, Use Me As A Character In Your Novel Or Story! Design A Gown Or A Piece Of Jewelry With Me In Mind.......I Have So Many Incredibly Talented, Artistic Friends, And I Adore Being A Muse. The Very Idea That I've Inspired Anyone To Use Some Of Their Precious Gift Of Talent And Imagination, Really Makes Me Feel Loved. Art In All Of Its Forms Touches Me To The Deepest Core Of My Soul, So Seeing Art That I've Inspired Is Especially Touching And Special To Me.

5.Believe In Magick, Love At First Sight And Happily Ever After. Keep Faith In Your Heart That Good Will Triumph Over Evil And That If You REALLY Want To, And You TRULY Believe, You CAN Fly On The Wings Of Your Dreams! Don't Let Cynicism Kill The Tiny Sparkling Flower Of Hope That Struggles To Bloom In Every Heart No Matter What Hardships That Heart May Have Endured. This Is Something I Believe In So Strongly!

6. Compare Me Glowingly To One Of My Favourite Fandom Characters Or One Of My Favourite Legendary Or Historical Ladies. Yes, A Bit Shallow, I Admit. But It's A Sure~Fire Way To Make Me Into Your Willing Slave!

7. Give Me Cute Or Meaningful Nicknames. I *Collect* Them. And Receiving New Ones Is Always A Great Joy For Me. When Someone Takes The Time To Give Me A Pet Name Or A Meaningful Nickname It Shows A Great Deal Of Love In My Eyes.

Rose's Nicknames.

8. Love My Bratty Diva Streak. Know That Even Though I Come Off As A Vain Little Princess, There Is Nothing I Wouldn't Do For Each And Every One Of My Friends And Loved Ones. My Heart Is Full Of Nothing But Love And Compassion And As Highly As I May Seem To Think Of Myself, Know That I Think JUST As Highly Of Each And Every One Of YOU!

9. Supply Me With My Drug Of Choice. Caffeine! {Starbucks Is My Home Away From Home!}

10. Treat Me Like A Princess. {If You Do You'll Be Treated As Royalty In Return!}

11. Love My Celtic/Gypsy/Redhead Temper And Accept The Fact That Even Though I Can Explode Quickly, I Always Get Over It Just As Quickly. I Never Stay Angry For More Than 5 Minutes!

12. Drool Over Historical/Fantasy Gowns, Velvet Cloaks, Corsets, Satin Slippers, Elven Head Circlets And Elegant Eighteenth Century Underthings With Me.

13. Take Me To Barnes And Noble Or Borders And Don't Mind The Fact That I'll Be Lost In My Own World For Hours And Hours. {Supply Me With Coffee, A Cosy Armchair And Stacks And Stacks Of Books And I'm A Blissfully Happy Little Faerie Girl!}

14. Compare Me To A Disney Princess. Especially Aurora Or Snow White. Again, Shallow. But A Sure~Fire Way To Make Me Into Your Willing Slave.

15. Sing With Me. I Live To Sing. It's As Essential To My Survival As Oxygen. If I Couldn't Sing I Would Wither And Die. And Singing For And With My Beloved And My Friends Is A Fantastic Expression Of Love!

16. Share My Obsessions {Or At Least Put Up With Them!} My Pagan And Celtic Heritage, Books, Tarot Cards, Coffee, Ren Fayres, Tolkien {Elves, Elven Languages, History And Culture} Garb And Costuming, The Faerie Realm, Otherkin, Opera, Singing And Performing, Broadway Musicals, Disney Princes And Princesses, Faerie Tales, Harry Potter, Arthurian Legends, Lady Godiva, The Tudor Court, The Wives Of Henry VIII, The Court Of Charles II, The Court Of Versailles {Louis XVI And Marie Antoinette} Royal Mistresses, Ghosts, The Titanic, Romantic Historical Or Fantasy Films, Anything Sparkly, Glittery, Cute And Girly {Just To Name A Few. And Believe Me, There Are Lots More! I'm A Complex Little Damsel!}

17. Never, Ever Ignore Me. The Brat~Diva In Me Can't Stand Being Ignored. And Besides, I'm Fae. Do You Know What Happens To Faeries If You Ignore Us? We Die! We Simply Fade Away! So If You Love Me, Give Me Plenty Of Attention And I'll Always Be Here To Brighten Your Day With My Sparkly, Glittery Pixie Dust And Happy, Positive Outlook!

18. Let Me Know That You Thought Of Me. If You Saw An Actress Who Reminded You Of Me, Or Saw A Gown That Would Look Lovely On Me, Or Smelled A Perfume I'd Love, Or Even Just Heard A Bird Singing Or Read A Faerie Tale And It Made You Think Of Me, Tell Me. Each Of Those Little Passing Thoughts From A Friend Or A Loved One Is Like A Precious Gem, And When They're Shared And Stored In One's Memory They Make The Most Splendid Jewels Any Princess Could Ever Wear! We Really Should Do This For Our Friends All The Time! It Makes You Feel So Loved And Special!

19. Pamper Me. I'm Very Sensual. Give Me Any Kind Of Pretty Smelling Beauty Or Bath Products, Lotions, Potions, Perfumes, Incense Or Scented Candles And I'm In Bliss.

20. Be Kind. Be Open~Minded. Be Open~Hearted. Be Accepting Of Others. Be Genuine. Always Try To See The Positive. That's How I Try To Live My Life And If You Do The Same You'll Definitely Be Showing Love {And Respect} For Me.

She is friggin' hot. Her actress also only about 1 or 2 years younger than me, so I can totally say that. Hoo-hah!

And yes, that movie was SO awesome. I saw it on my honeymoon. ^-~

Rather odd dream, may interest you...
Sorry to bother you, but I had a NUTS dream which I thought you might appreciate. I dreamt me and some others had gone to an ice-cream parlour with a ghost-stories theme, but instead of telling you the stories they add something to the ice cream (presumably harmless) that makes you hallucinate the events according to what flavour the ice-cream is.
Got that...? it gets better- for starter we shared around some kind of chocolate which caused a terrifying ghost story to occur- I was sitting opposite this elderly man (possibly an employee, possibly not real), and a shadow formed on the wall in the shape of a woman with very sharp teeth (you could clearly see the fangs.) We were all quite scared... she abruptly changed into a real-life woman dressed up in a wedding outfit, sitting next to him, saying how happy they were to be married. The scene sort-of shifted into a wedding reception, they were just being toasted when the shadow-woman (3D, this time) appeared floating by the wall- she of course was his recently deceased wife!
Cue much screaming and carrying on. The new bride couldn't half shriek. The room was cleared fairly quickly, but after she'd composed herself the second wife went down a long staircase (you could see this although you were not in the room, like watching television), where there were plaster busts on the bannister. She found one of the first wife and started insulting it, then went to slap it, when it suddenly came to life (a bit like in Return to Oz), and grew hands, caught her wrists and broke them! Don't muck with the dead, I suppose.
OK, there's more and the second part is not that scary and quite sweet, but longer, and I don't want to clog up your page anymore than I have so I'll save it for if you want to hear it.

Re: Rather odd dream, may interest you...
OK- this must be what happens when you listen to Rasputina before sleeping...
we had finished that story, then this bizarre damp woman goes floating past, all covered in pondweed. I think, aha! drowning victim- but she appears to be still alive, still human, etc. She goes right out of the ice-cream parlour (we follow) and suddenly it turns into this dingy Victorian canal towpath area; she gets on a passing narrowboat, and it takes her up towards what looks like the direction of a city. It's odd because we see her from above. We lose her at that point, so we talk to some passers-by, who say she's always doing it because she's mad with love etc. weakminded, consumptive, and all that. Stands to reason I suppose.
We later find her asleep and nearly unconscious in a doorway. She is obviously not well, so we take her back and give her some tea and blankets.
Days pass... for some reason we are still in the ice-cream parlour. They don't seem to mind.
She tells us that she is in love with a man whose mother will not let them be together. I'm not sure, but I think it's one of those beyond-the-grave type situations- his mother isn't haunting him specifically, but he has a huge amount of guilt about it which is her fault.
We decide that it can, and will, and should, be overcome. So we tell her to show us where he lives. She can't remember, as she is always technically asleep when she goes to visit him.
So we settle for randomly wandering about instead; she is very forlorn and upset that she will not remember him, and we cannot follow her whilst she's sleepwalking. Then she notices a particular window on an opposite building- the window has bars, but they are bent outwards from the outside. She decides to see if that is the one... had she actually climbed up the wall and broken in?
...but we go in the back way. The back of the house is a windmill, for some reason. More than one person lives in the house, and we surprise several of them as we go up to the upper floors.
She was right, it is the correct house. It doesn't have to make sense I suppose but when he sees that she's real and not a scary wall-climbing ghost, all is well.
It's not a very good explanation, but I thought it was sweet of them. :-)

If you ever find yourself in a similar ice-cream parlour, I recommend the orange-chocolatefudge-toffee 3-scoop ice cream.

Mademoiselle Rose, you are such a trip! I stumbled onto your journal while I was Googling around for information about fairies, and I've been hooked reading ever since! I love the way that you approach everything with such optimism and whimsy. I love that you have a wide range of interests and a really open-minded view of the world. (It doesn't hurt that I think we share a lot of the same interests, too!) And I really, really love that you said this:

"Be Kind. Be Open~Minded. Be Open~Hearted. Be Accepting Of Others. Be Genuine."

If only there were more people who had such a great attitude. Keep on doing what you do, girl. And keep writing! I really enjoy reading what you have to say. =)

I'm so glad. Also, I want to apologize for being terribly rude and failing to introduce myself right off the bat! What would my mother say if she could see me forgetting my manners like that!

I'm Braith, which is a Welsh name that means "freckled" or "little freckled one," and is a very apt description of me. (I have a whole sprinkling of the darned things all across my cheeks and nose.) I live in Maryland and I'm 25 years old. =) *curtseys* Very pleased to make your acquaintance!

My Mum Always Says That Every Freckle Is A Kiss From A Faerie! :o) Is Your Family Welsh Then? Maryland Is Beautiful. That's what my mom always said toooo! Fairy kisses!

My family is a whole mess of various influences. I have English, Irish, Welsh, maybe some Scottish?, French, and Polish blood, and one grandfather was defintely 100% German. Some parts of my family have been in America for so long that it's hard to trace exactly where they came from -- one of my grandmother's brothers had traced their ancestry back to some French Huguenots that arrived in the late 1600s! I wish I had been old enough/interested enough to read through his research before I moved away from home. (I grew up around Phoenix, and came to Washington, DC for college. And the Maryland suburbs are a much more agreeable place to live than amongst the hustle, bustle, and bad attitudes of DC!) I just don't know that much about it now.

Anyway, would love to join you for tea. We'll have a lovely chat!

Very Cool! I Love Genealogy. I'm Irish, Scots, Welsh, English {Cornish Actually And Romani Gypsy. {With A Bit Of Cherokee On My Mum's Side!} Our Family Line Has Been Traced Back To The Last High King Of Ireland, Brian Boru, And We Have Royal Ancestors {On The Wrong Side Of The Blanket! I'm A Descendant Of Charles II And One Of His Mistresses, The Duchess Of Cleveland} As Well As Pirate Captains And A Cherokee Chief's Daughter. We're Quite A Motley Crew!

::Pours Tea:: Now, Ms, Braith, How Do You Take Your Tea? ::Smiles Sweetly::

Oooh, pirate captains! I'm fairly certain about one infamous branch of my family tree: Sir Francis Drake. Or at least that's the story that's been passed down forever!

Let's see now, tea... I actually prefer it plain (but rather hot!), or with just a bit of Splenda, depending on which type of tea it is. And tea should be accompanied by some kind of cookie or cake or muffin, don't you think? What a perfect way to spend a cold winter's day!
[info]faire_damsel wrote:

Oh My! That's Exciting. Drake Is Quite A Character! Our Pirate Was Actually A Privateer. Captain Stanley Pierce. His Huge Estate Is Now A Sort Of Museum Outside Boston, Mass. He Married A Cherokee Chief's Daughter And She Went With Him On His Pirate Ship {Despite All The Legends About Women On Board Being Bad Luck!} And One Day They Sailed Out Of Boston Harbour And None Of Them, Ship, Captain, Crew Or Lady, Were Ever Seen Again! Scary, Non? They Were {IIRC} My Six Times Great Grandparents On My Mum's Side. {Luckily They Had Three Sons Before They Vanished!}

And Yes! Tea Must Be Accompanied By A Tasty Treat Of Some Sort. {I Use Splends Too. And I Usually Take My Tea With Milk.}

How About Some Apple Cinnamon Tea And Fresh Baked Pumpkin Cookies With Semi~Sweet Chocolate Chips?
